This is a call to action. January 18th - 21st, the climate movement is mobilizing with other movements for justice against the inauguration of Donald Trump. And we want you to join us.

A new dangerous federal government threatens the lives, health, and safety of so many of our fellow Americans and people around the world. We believe it’s absolutely crucial to work together and stand in solidarity with others working for migrant rights, racial justice, LGBTQ rights and more. Our movements need each other, and we will stand with the people and organizations most at risk.

Under Trump’s new administration, we can stop the rollback of progress and achieve important gains at a local level -- if we organize and build together.

To continue toward justice, our movements must join together like never before. We are ready.

Many different groups are organizing events that week, and we want to convene climate movement networks to compliment those efforts. Details are still coming together, but for now circle these dates on your calendar:

January 18: Climate Convergence - join with other climate activists to help plot the work ahead. Workshops on organizing, strategy, mass action, intersectionality, allyship, and more.

January 20th: Climate Contingent of inauguration protests - there are a number of marches, rallies and actions all weekend. ANSWER is hosting a big rally. DisruptJ20 is an action to disrupt the inauguration ceremonies with different movements like labor, students, faith etc (before this action there will be Nonviolent Direct Action trainings that we are strongly encourage people to attend).

January 21: Women’s March on Washington (https://www.womensmarch.com/)

There will be rolling NVDA trainings every day, exact times TBD.

We’ll continue to update this event as more details are finalized. For now, please join and share this event with your networks.
