In just a few weeks, Democractric National Committee (DNC) members will be having a summer meeting where they are expected to vote on whether or not to have an official climate debate. DNC Chair Tom Perez is against holding a specific climate debate, but activists and 20 presidential contenders want one. We already achieved one goal by getting the DNC to hold a vote, but now we have to keep the pressure. We have until August 23rd to raise our voices and get DNC members to vote YES on a climate change debate.
This is a global call to support the CVF Summit which will take place on 22 November 2018. The CVF Summit aims to accelerate political action to enhance ambition on climate action by 2020 and ensure the world meets the goals under the Paris Agreement.
The goal of the campaign is to raise awareness about the dangers of plastic pollution while offering a solution any individual can easily make.
