Since 1956, we've known that greenhouse gas emissions from energy production change the environment long-term.
Since 1988, we've known that climate change poses a problem to life itself.
We were recently given a rough date to when a "climate catastrophe" would begin.

So why has neither side of the government properly acknowledged, nor begun to attempt to fix, this massive problem?

Last year, then 15-year-old Greta Thunberg got international attention after protesting the lack of effort by her home government (Sweden) to prevent the worsening of climate change.

Since, her movement, #FridaysForFuture, has grown into a worldwide movement. On March 15th, more than 500 groups of people in 51+ countries are marching to their local town halls to protest governmental inaction. Because ABRHS is not near Acton's town hall, we will instead be holding a walkout in solidarity.

Signs are welcome (as long as they're recycled after!). There will be some cool speakers and likely music :). See you there!
